Energy Efficient Triple Glazing Windows
Triple glazing help improve your homes energy efficiency whilst lowering you energy bills. View our links below to help you make the right choice for your home. As installers of the UK’s MOST specified window system, we have outlined the extensive benefits of choosing Triple Glazing from Windows Are Us.
The BFRC window energy rating scheme checks all the components to ensure the final window achieves the energy efficient standard claimed. This means that you just need to look for the A-G ratings and remember ‘A+’ is best! Alternatively, just look for the Energy Saving Trust Recommended logo which will only be found on glazing that is B rated or above.
Working closely with our systems company VEKA means that all products manufactured comply with BBA, BSI accreditations and are kitemark approved.
We also comply with BFRC regulations which means all our Triple Glazing is energy rated. Recent legislation (Part L – October 1st 2010) has only served to confuse the industry when it comes to the relative merits of energy ratings and U values. At Windows Are Us, we aim to make it as simple as possible for our customers. Our manufacturing partners have recently taken the decision to use a Simplified Energy Label, the benefits being that we can access over 1,500 thermal simulations to ensure we have the very best energy rated window available.
FENSA guarantees that all of its installers and frames comply with building regulations.
Benefits of Triple Glazing
- Smaller energy bills: Replacing all single glazed windows with energy efficient triple glazing could save you literally hundreds of pounds per year on your energy bills.
- A smaller carbon footprint: by using less fuel, you’ll generate less of the carbon dioxide (CO2) that leads to global warming.
- A more comfortable home: energy efficient glazing reduces heat loss through windows and means fewer draughts and cold spots.
- Peace and quiet: as well as keeping the heat in, triple glazing insulates your home against unwanted outside noise.
- Reduced condensation: energy efficient glazing reduces condensation build-up on the inside of windows, in some cases by up to 80%.
- Added Security: With a further pane of glass to the center of the sealed unit, there is even less of a risk of an intruder breaking in through the glass in the window.
